Law360, New York (July 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An administrative law judge with the International Trade Commission handed Philips Semiconductors BV a sound victory against semiconductor maker Biax Corp. after issuing an initial decision that Biax's patents in the ongoing litigation over digital processing systems were either invalid, unenforceable or not infringed upon.
When Administrative Law Judge Sidney Harris issued the decision in May, key parts were initially designated as confidential by Biax's counsel. The documents were only made public last week.
