9th Circ. Won't Rehear DaimlerChrysler Union-Busting Suit

Law360, New York (November 9, 2011, 8:53 PM EST) -- The Ninth Circuit refused DaimlerChrysler Corp.'s petition Wednesday to revisit a May finding that the federal court had jurisdiction over the German automaker in a group of Argentine nationals' suit over union-busting activities and human rights violations by the Argentine government.

Twenty-two Argentine nationals sued DaimlerChrysler in California federal court in 2004, claiming its Argentine subsidiary collaborated with that country's government during its union-breaking "Dirty War" from 1976 to 1983.
