Judge Rejects Discovery Plan in Costner-Baldwin Fight

Law360, New York (November 9, 2011, 6:54 PM EST) -- A federal judge refused Wednesday to split up discovery in a Louisiana suit claiming Kevin Costner and others duped Stephen Baldwin and another investor into selling their interest in an oil cleanup company while completing a $52 million deal with BP PLC.

Baldwin and fellow plaintiff Spyridon Contogouris brought the suit to recover the difference between what they made in the buyout and what they would have made after the BP sales — $9.2 million for Contogouris and $3.3 million for Baldwin, according to the suit....
