Alleged Motorola Spy Had 1-Way Ticket To China: Witness

Law360, Chicago (November 9, 2011, 6:21 PM EST) -- An ex-Motorola Inc. software engineer charged with trade secrets theft and economic espionage was trying to travel on a one-way ticket reservation for a flight to China when she was stopped by U.S. customs officials, a government witness testified Wednesday in Illinois.

United Air Lines Inc. employee Sarah Voss appeared as the government's final witness in the bench trial of Hanjuan Jin, who faces charges that she plotted to steal Motorola's proprietary cellular technology for a Chinese competitor looking to work with that nation's military....
