WilmerHale Partner Turns Down Fed. Circ. Nod

Law360, New York (November 10, 2011, 2:53 PM EST) -- WilmerHale partner Edward C. DuMont asked President Barack Obama in early November to withdraw his nomination to the Federal Circuit, saying the Senate Judiciary Committee's inaction has doomed his confirmation.

In a letter dated Nov. 4, DuMont cited the fact that the panel has not held a hearing on his nomination since the president first nominated him over 18 months ago, which DuMont believes is due to opposition among the committee's Republican minority.
