N.J. Sues Over 50 Companies Over Gas Additive

Law360 (July 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New Jersey has fired off a lawsuit against more than 50 energy companies, including giants BP America Inc., ChevronTexaco Corp. and ExxonMobile Corp., seeking millions of dollars in remedies after the companies allegedly discharged the dangerous gasoline additive MTBE into the state's waters.
