Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 12:02 PM EST) -- Edward Hise ("the defendant") registered the domain name gopets.com in 1999 and planned to use it to provide information about pet care. GoPets Ltd. ("the plaintiff") created GoPets, an online game featuring virtual pets, in 2004. Beginning in 2004, the plaintiff made several unsuccessful attempts to purchase gopets.com from the defendant for hundreds of dollars.
