US Appeals Relators' $8M Share Of $48M Cisco FCA Deal

Law360, New York (November 14, 2011, 6:13 PM EST) -- The federal government on Thursday appealed a ruling that handed relators $8 million of a $48 million settlement of False Claims Act allegations that Cisco Systems Inc. and its distributor withheld information during contract negotiations.

U.S. District Judge Billy Roy Wilson had ruled in September that Norman Rille and Neal Roberts should receive 17 percent of Cisco’s $44.2 million settlement and 15 percent of the government’s $3.8 million settlement with Weston Group North America, Cisco’s distributor.
