Plea Deal Collapses In John Edwards Campaign Case

Law360, Los Angeles (November 14, 2011, 8:35 PM EST) -- A California federal judge upended Pierce O’Donnell’s criminal plea agreement Monday when he refused to sentence the prominent litigator to prison for funneling illegal contributions to Sen. John Edward’s 2004 presidential campaign, prompting federal prosecutors to push the case to trial.
