ChevronTexaco Appeals Loss In Ecuador Spat

Law360 (July 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- ChevronTexaco Corp. will appeal a judge's order barring the American oil giant from forcing Ecuador and its state-owned petrol company into arbitration in New York, where the company hoped to recover legal costs over long-running litigation with the country.

Chevron filed a notice that it would take it claims to the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
