SSRIs, Suicide Link Takes Center Stage In Forest Suits

Law360 (July 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Henrickson's found their 15-year-old daughter Danielle dead in their Idaho garage, where she had hung herself. Kitsy Lee Johns shot and killed herself at age 17. Both were taking Forest Laboratories Inc.'s antidepressant, Celexa, when they ended their lives.

The families of the two teens in addition to about 35 other families are suing Forest, alleging the company knew its drugs Celexa and Lexapro increased violence, whether it be self-directed or directed at others, but withheld the information from patients and physicians.
