Altus Buys Aircraft Tool Co. With New $200M Fund

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 5:53 PM EST) -- Altus Capital Partners LLC is putting its new $200 million fund to work with the purchase of Models & Tools, whose tooling systems are used to build commercial planes, fighter jets and spacecraft, the private equity firm announced Tuesday.

The first investment out of the firm's latest fund, which beat early fundraising goals when it closed in October, will go to acquire Models & Tools, which makes components for commercial jets like Boeing Co.'s 737, military aircraft like the F-16 Falcon jet and the Blackhawk helicopter,...
