Judge Stays Suit Over Grant & Eisenhofer's Tyco Deal Fee

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 2:25 PM EST) -- A New Hampshire federal judge on Tuesday stayed, pending an appeal, a putative class action alleging Grant & Eisenhofer PA sought attorneys' fees from Tyco International Ltd.'s $3.2 billion securities settlement that were outside the terms of a contractual agreement with clients.

U.S. District Judge Paul J. Barbadoro denied Grant & Eisenhofer's Nov. 3 motion to dismiss the case, saying it should instead be stayed while the First Circuit rules on the fee question.
