Mayer Brown Asks 7th Circ. To Fine Trustee Over $17M Suit

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 5:24 PM EST) -- Mayer Brown LLP asked the Seventh Circuit on Tuesday to impose sanctions against a bankruptcy trustee who filed a $17 million malpractice suit over the firm's handling of a case against bankrupt health care management company CMGT Inc.

Mayer Brown hopes the appeals court will reverse earlier orders by U.S. District Judge Virginia M. Kendall, who refused to impose sanctions against CMGT trustee David Grochocinski despite finding his actions "sloppy and negligent."
