Delta Can Keep 2-Tier Pay System For Flight Attendants

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 5:54 PM EST) -- A Minnesota federal judge on Wednesday refused to order Delta Air Lines Inc. to boost the compensation of flight attendants who accuse Delta of having illegally underpaid them after its 2008 merger with their former employer, Northwest Airlines Inc.

Delta has contended that it can't align the premerger compensation of its flight attendants and that of onetime Northwest attendants, who earned less than their counterparts at Delta, because of unresolved election-rigging allegations brought by the union that represented the Northwest employees.
