ITC Retains Duties On Japanese Cement

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 2:02 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission issued a final determination Thursday that lifting the current anti-dumping duties on gray portland cement from Japan would likely injure U.S. producers.

The ruling comes after an expedited third sunset review of the existing anti-dumping duty order on Japanese gray portland cement and cement clinker. The finding, paired with a similar ruling from the U.S. Department of Commerce in August, means that the existing order on the Japanese imports will remain in place.
