Prempro Judge OKs Case-Specific Discovery

Law360, New York (July 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation over Wyeth's Prempro has ruled that case-specific discovery should still go forward for individual plaintiffs who allege the pharmaceutical company's hormone drug caused breast cancer.

U.S. District Judge William R. Wilson Jr. said in an order issued Tuesday that while he generally agreed with the parties' contention that cases involving injuries other than breast cancer should not be subject to discovery, case-specific discovery should still go forward for individual plaintiffs who are alleging only breast cancer injury in the multi-plaintiff...
