Obama Names Top-Level Prosecutor To DC Appeals Court

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 3:42 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday nominated Roy Wallace McLeese III, chief of the appellate division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, to serve on the D.C. Court of Appeals.

“Throughout his career, Roy Wallace McLeese III has shown unwavering integrity and an outstanding commitment to public service,” Obama said in a statement.

Obama sent the nomination to the U.S. Senate, asking the chamber to approve McLeese for a term of 15 years as an associate judge, according to the White House....
