EU Weighs Challenge To Law Barring VW Takeover

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 4:04 PM EST) -- The European Commission is reportedly weighing whether to launch a new challenge against a German law that essentially protects carmaker Volkswagen AG from a hostile takeover.

The European Commission will decide by Wednesday whether to bring a case challenging the so-called VW law before the European Court of Justice, German news agency DAPD said Friday.
