Ford's Sanctions Bid Fails In Edgewater Cleanup Feud

Law360, Chicago (November 21, 2011, 5:24 PM EST) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Friday refused Ford Motor Co.'s bid for sanctions against a Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer PA lawyer representing Edgewood Properties Inc. in litigation over the cleanup of contaminated concrete.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor denied Ford's effort to punish Edgewater lawyer Alan Wasserman and his firm for telling the court they suspected Ford had liquored up a former Edgewater employee during an unrecorded interview in an effort to undercut his testimony.
