Mo. County, Contractor Settle Asbestos Suit For $10M

Law360, Washington (November 22, 2011, 3:24 PM EST) -- U.S. Engineering Co. and Jackson County, Mo., on Friday agreed to pay over $10 million to settle a lawsuit brought by a county employee over the contractor's asbestos removal at a county courthouse, that counsel for the plaintiff called the largest-ever asbestos settlement in Missouri.
