Judge Trims Lincolnshire Suit Over $99M Award

Law360, New York (November 22, 2011, 5:43 PM EST) -- A New York judge on Tuesday trimmed a suit over a $99 million award in underlying shareholder litigation against two investment firms affiliated with private equity firm Lincolnshire Management Inc., ruling the plaintiff had too many conflicts of interest.

The trustee of The Acconci Trust, Walpart Trust Reg., brought suit in April. It alleges that the management of two Lincolnshire-affiliated investment firms, Lincolnshire Equity Fund LP and Lincolnshire Equity Partners LP, wrongfully deducted millions from the trustee's share of a $99 million award in another lawsuit....
