Deloitte Hands Over US Audit Contract Data After Criticism

Law360, New York (November 22, 2011, 6:17 PM EST) -- Deloitte & Touche LLP, sharply criticized by U.S. audit regulators in October, has now turned over documents on all audits performed on behalf of the U.S., including of the Federal Reserve Board and regional Fed banks, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., said Monday.

Deloitte was rebuked by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board on Oct. 17 over allegedly unaddressed weaknesses in its 2007 audits. The audit watchdog said that Deloitte's quality control procedures were insufficient to ensure proper audits and that the auditing firm did not obtain...
