Subpoena Dispute Lands Biofuel Co. In Court

Law360, New York (July 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has sought a court order that would force a biofuel company and its top executive to comply with an investigation into possible securities law violations.

In court documents filed last week with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the SEC alleged that U.S. Sustainable Energy Corp. and its chairman John D. Stanton failed to comply with validly issued subpoenas.
