Singapore Fines 10 Modeling Agencies For Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (November 23, 2011, 2:01 PM EST) -- Singapore’s competition watchdog fined several modeling agencies, including one run by a member of the country’s Parliament, with fines Wednesday, after concluding they had colluded to fix prices for a variety of services between 2005 and 2009.

The Competition Commission of Singapore said in a statement that 10 Singaporean modeling agencies would be fined over $276,000 for fixing prices on a various modeling services, including editorials, advertorials, fashion shows and media loading usage.
