WildEarth Prods EPA To Wrap Up Planned Ozone Rules

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 4:16 PM EST) -- Conservation group WildEarth Guardians sued the head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in California federal court last week over the agency's failure to follow through on new standards for ground-level ozone.

The agency has neglected to set rules calling for states to “prevent significant deterioration” of air quality by ground-level ozone and to confirm that states have suitable plans in place for the implementation and enforcement of the 2008 National Ambient Air Quality Standards for ozone, according to the complaint filed Nov. 22 against EPA...
