Utica Wants Reinsurer Barred From Spilling Secrets

Law360, Chicago (November 30, 2011, 6:26 PM EST) -- Utica Mutual Insurance Co. asked a New York federal court on Tuesday to block INA Reinsurance Co. from disclosing confidential information related to the companies' dispute over reinsurance coverage for asbestos claims.

In a memorandum supporting its motion for a preliminary injunction, Utica alleges that a confidentiality order issued by the arbitration panel overseeing the reinsurance dispute bars the disclosure of this information.
