Shady Campaign Gifts Earn Boston Developer $1.6M Fine

Law360, New York (November 30, 2011, 5:40 PM EST) -- The WinnCompanies affiliate behind a failed Boston development was fined $1.6 million by a federal judge on Wednesday over charges in a scheme that channeled $158,000 in campaign contributions to politicians thought to be friendly to the troubled project.
