Veggie Booty Recall Prompts Product Liability Suit

Law360, New York (July 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Indiana couple has sued the maker of Veggie Booty after their 18-month-old son was hospitalized with Salmonella poisoning from eating a bag of the now-recalled snack food.

In a complaint filed last week with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, David and Ashlee Allen accused Robert's American Gourmet Food Inc. of negligence and breach of warranty for allegedly using tainted ingredients from China in their Veggie Booty.
