Madoff Trustee Cleared To Appeal JPMorgan Suit Dismissal

Law360, New York (December 1, 2011, 8:48 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Thursday cleared the way for the trustee in the Bernard L. Madoff bankruptcy to appeal to the Second Circuit a November decision that tossed a $19 billion claim against JPMorgan Chase & Co., which was the convicted Ponzi schemer's primary bank.

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon expedited the final entry of judgment for her Nov. 1 ruling. That will allow trustee Irving Picard to appeal to the Second Circuit, which he said in court documents that he plans to do....
