Purdue Pharma Denies KV's Antitrust Allegations

Law360 (July 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- One month after KV Pharmaceutical Co. accused Purdue Pharma LP of violating antitrust laws by allegedly maintaining a monopoly in the painkiller market, Purdue fired back against its rival, denying KV’s claims of anti-competitive behavior and fraud.

Purdue filed its reply to KV’s counterclaims Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, reiterating its original allegations that KV’s abbreviated new drug application for generic controlled-release oxycodone infringes three Purdue patents.
