EC Issues Consolidated Merger Control Rules

Law360, New York (July 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to simplify its rules on merger control jurisdiction, the European Commission has issued a consolidated set of guidelines, combining current regulations and revising them to reflect recent court decisions.

Issued on Tuesday, the new guidance “consolidates the existing texts and adapts them in the light of both recent judgments of the European courts and the new Merger Regulation adopted in 2004,” the Commission said.
