US Delays Revamp Of Export Control Lists

Law360, New York (December 6, 2011, 5:51 PM EST) -- The federal government has postponed its plan to overhaul existing export control lists by tiering them, in an effort to avoid disruption to exporters' business, the U.S. Department of State said on Tuesday.

The Obama administration has opted not to tier the lists yet in order to prevent undue hardship for exporters, but it intends to revisit the issue in the future, the State Department said in a notice published in the Federal Register.
