CBRE Nears Advisory Deal For $4B Coal-To-Gas Project

Law360, New York (December 8, 2011, 2:42 PM EST) -- Commercial real estate giant CBRE is close to reaching an agreement with energy developer TransGas Development Systems LLC to provide advisory services and financing advice for a $4 billion coal-to-gasoline project in West Virginia, a CBRE spokesman confirmed Wednesday.

TransGas official Garry Coulter said the companies will likely sign a memorandum of understanding in the next few weeks for Los Angeles-based CBRE to advise on financial aspects of the project, including debt financing and venture capital investments.
