Toshiba Loses Bid To Dismiss Lexar's Trade-Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (January 26, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A California judge has denied Japanese computer maker Toshiba Corp.’s motion to dismiss a trade-secrets lawsuit filed by Lexar Media Inc. over technology for high-capacity memory chips that store and transmit digital images.

Judge Jack Komar, in state court in San Jose, California, allowed Lexar's claims to proceed to a trial scheduled to begin next month. Komar said he tentatively denied Toshiba's motion, and would submit a written ruling later.
