Dr Pepper Ordered To Pay $18.3M In Age Bias Suit

Law360, New York (December 9, 2011, 1:29 PM EST) -- A California jury has sided with six workers who accused Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. of age discrimination and awarded the plaintiffs $18.3 million in damages, the company revealed in a regulatory filing on Friday.

The jury returned a verdict on Wednesday in favor of the six plaintiffs who sued Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group Inc., which is now The American Bottling Co., for discrimination in 2009, Dr Pepper Snapple said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
