ITC Votes To Probe Steel Pipe From Middle East, Asia

Law360, San Diego (December 9, 2011, 2:57 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission decided on Friday to move ahead with investigations into whether pipe makers from India, the Middle East and Vietnam have received illegal government subsidies and dumped their products on the U.S. market.

In a 5-0 vote, the commissioners determined that there was a reasonable indication that the U.S. industry was materially harmed by imports of circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from India, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
