Supreme Court To Rule On Blocked Ariz. Immigration Law

Law360, New York (December 12, 2011, 12:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to review an injunction blocking key portions of Arizona's controversial immigration law, including a provision that would make it a crime for illegal immigrants to apply for jobs.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer filed a petition in August asking the high court to decide whether federal immigration laws preclude Arizona's own efforts to enforce immigration laws and preempt four provisions of SB 1070.
