DOC To Probe Chinese Honey Blends For Duty Dodging

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 3:39 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce will investigate whether a Chinese importer is using honey-rice syrup blends to circumvent the anti-dumping duty order on Chinese honey, the agency said Tuesday.

At the request of the American Honey Producers Association and the Sioux Honey Association, the department will investigate whether Anhui Hundred Health Foods Co. Ltd. is using honey blended with rice syrup to dodge the duties, according to a notice published in the Federal Register.
