Ex-DA's Investigator Cops To Role In Bribery Scheme

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 5:36 PM EST) -- A former investigator for a Texas county district attorney's office pled guilty Tuesday to his role in a judicial bribery scheme that has already resulted in guilty pleas from a former Texas state judge and ex-state lawmaker.

Jaime Munivez copped to two federal counts of aiding and abetting extortion under the color of official right, admitting he provided falsified documents to a fellow schemer and took money to funnel information to a man charged with murder. He will be sentenced March 19.
