Holland & Knight Bests Ex-Partner's Age Bias Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (December 13, 2011, 8:23 PM EST) -- A New York state judge on Friday tossed an age discrimination and breach of contract lawsuit brought by a former Holland & Knight LLP partner, ruling that he was liable for allegedly diverting fees from the law firm.

New York Supreme Court Judge Marcy S. Friedman nixed John K. Weir's age discrimination and retaliation claims, ruling that the former equity partner at Holland & Knight was not an employee within the meaning of New York's discrimination statutes.
