11th Circ. Backs Greenberg In Gas Station Contract Fight

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 8:41 PM EST) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Tuesday upheld a Georgia court's dismissal of Gowen Oil Co. Inc.'s case against Greenberg Traurig LLP alleging the firm failed to provide notice of its client's purchase of three gas stations that breached Gowen's contract with the owner.

Gowen brought the suit in 2008 against Biju Abraham of Global Energy USA Inc., who bought three gas stations in January 2008 from United Fuel Inc. But Gowen claimed it had signed a contract with United that gave it the right to first refusal...
