Twin City Transit Inks Deal Ending Drivers' Race Bias Suit

Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 6:53 PM EST) -- The Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., public transportation system agreed Friday to revise its customer complaint process in order to resolve a class action alleging the transit authority disciplined black bus drivers more harshly than others and prevented them from being promoted.

The Twin City Metro Transit and its operator Metropolitan Council agreed to take a more active role in verifying the validity of customer complaints in order to make its system more fair for black bus drivers and alleviate unfair disciplinary actions and infraction logs. ...
