Boston Scientific Fights To Fire Subsidiary's Execs

Law360, New York (July 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Boston Scientific Corp. appeared before an appellate court Friday, looking to overturn a district court’s ruling in a shareholder lawsuit that permanently enjoined the company from firing the co-CEOs of its subsidiary, Advanced Bionics Corp.

The dispute began when Advanced Bionics shareholders filed suit against Boston Scientific in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in July 2006. They alleged that the company was attempting to acquire sole management of Advanced Bionics by firing the shareholders’ representatives, Alfred Mann and Jeffrey Greiner....
