Deacero Wire Rod Should Be Subject To Duties: Commerce

Law360, San Diego (December 20, 2011, 4:49 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce issued a preliminary determination that Deacero SA de CV’s 4.75-millimeter wire rod from Mexico constituted a minor alteration and should be covered under the same anti-dumping duty order as 5-millimeter products, according to Tuesday's Federal Register notice.

Commerce said it will direct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to suspend liquidation of Deacero’s alloy steel wire rod with an actual diameter of 4.75 to 5 millimeters that entered the U.S. on or after June 8 and require a cash deposit of duties...
