New VC Fund To Invest $75M In Early-Stage Health Cos.

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 5:50 PM EST) -- Private equity firm Access Industries has created a new life sciences venture capital fund through which it plans to invest $75 million in early-stage therapeutics companies over the next few years, the firm said Monday.

Access BridgeGap Ventures will be based in Boston and focus on supporting scientists, entrepreneurs and established companies in developing new approaches to disease treatment and prevention in the pharmaceutical, biotech and therapeutic industries — even if these products are still in the labs.
