'Wimpy Kid' Writer Says 'Zombie Kid' Picked His Brain

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 3:27 PM EST) -- Jeff Kinney, author of the best-selling "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series of children's books, filed a copyright and trademark suit Tuesday against the publisher of a series of books called "Diary of a Zombie Kid."

The suit, in federal court in Massachusetts, claims that the title and jacket design for the "Zombie Kid" books are substantially similar to Kinney's series and infringe his copyrights and trademarks.
