3rd Circ. Affirms Toss Of Jersey Cops' Steroid Suit

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 8:29 PM EST) -- The Third Circuit on Tuesday affirmed the dismissal of a suit against Jersey City, N.J., by three city police officers who claimed their rights were violated when they were suspended for using legally prescribed steroids.

In a nonprecedential opinion, the appeals court agreed with U.S. District Judge Peter G. Sheridan of the District of New Jersey, who held that the officers' claims against Jersey City and New York City were barred by qualified immunity.
