JPMorgan Presses To Depose Lehman's European Director

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 8:08 PM EST) -- JPMorgan Chase Bank NA told a New York bankruptcy judge Tuesday that it wanted to force a former Lehman Brothers Holdings International Europe director to testify in a case accusing JPMorgan of cheating Lehman out of $8.6 billion in the days before the firm's collapse.

In an application submitted to Judge James M. Peck, JPMorgan said that without the ability to depose Andrew Wright — a U.K. resident who is also Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s former chief financial officer for Europe — the bank could not...
