Remington Recall Missed The Mark, Customers Say

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 7:07 PM EST) -- The maker of Remington guns and an ammunition company were struck with a proposed class action Tuesday in Tennessee federal court claiming Remington didn't go far enough to notify customers about the recall of explosion-prone rifles and ammunition.

In addition, the amount of money Remington Arms Co. Inc. has offered customers in exchange for the recalled products falls significantly below their purchase price, according to plaintiff William S. Yancey's complaint against the gun maker and Cascade Cartridge Inc.
